German Puzzle Championship February 8th -9th February 2025

Hello puzzlers  a date for your diary. We at Jigsaw Puzzle Haven  are reminding you that The inaugural German Puzzle Championship, organized by the Deutscher Puzzleverein e.V., is scheduled for February 8-9, 2025, in Leonberg, Germany. This event will feature three competition categories: Individual, Pair, and Team. 

Event Details:

• Date: February 8-9, 2025

Competition Categories:

1. Individual: Open to all participants.
2. Pair: Two-person teams competing together.
3. Team: Groups collaborating to solve puzzles.

Schedule:

• February 8, 2025:

  • 08:45 - 10:15: Speed Puzzle Single Preliminary Round A
  • 10:45 - 12:15: Speed Puzzle Single Preliminary Round B
  • 12:45 - 14:15: Speed Puzzle Single Preliminary Round C

• February 9, 2025:

  • 09:00 - 10:30: Speed Puzzle Single Final

Competition Format:

Each participant, pair, or team will be assigned a numbered table labeled with their names. In the Individual category, there are additional classifications for the German Youth Champion (under 18 years) and the German Senior Champion (over 50 years). International participants will have their own rankings.

Prizes:

The top three winners in the Individual category will receive:

1. First Place: A cup and participation in the Puzzle World Championship 2025, including travel expenses up to €2,000.
2. Second Place: A cup, an invitation to a guided tour at Ravensburger, €400, and a Ravensburger puzzle.
3. Third Place: A cup and a mixed Ravensburger puzzle package worth €200.

Prizes for subsequent places include cups and Ravensburger puzzles. 

Additional Information:

Participants may keep the puzzles they work on during the competition.
